Job Requirements
- Available for flexible scheduling to meet department needs
- Standing for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity for processing equipment
- Ability to lift 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a bakery or customer service area is preferred
- Working knowledge of the baking process
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Good customer service skills
- Good time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work as a team
Job Duties
- Assist in preparing raw materials according to receipts or supervisor's instructions
- Assist with the baking process including forming, cutting, shaping, and baking dough
- Combine measured ingredients in mixing, blending, or cooking machinery
- Follow receipts to prepare drinks
- Ensure products have proper signage and are well-merchandised
- Unload and break down deliveries and stock shelves
- Refill and rotate products using FIFO method
- Monitor expiration dates and handle expired/recalled products properly
- Wrap and pack bakery items for customers
- Maintain workplace safety and comply with government regulations
- Coordinate cleanliness with Maintenance Department
- Control and safeguard department assets
- Perform demos to promote department sales
- Greet customers and provide excellent service
- Follow cash handling procedures and complete check-outs
- Perform other duties as needed for business operations
