Job Requirements

  • Commitment to Touchmark's values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with residents, family members, visitors, and coworkers
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately in a noisy environment
  • Knowledge of WISHA and Spokane County Health regulations
  • Interest in working with elderly adults
  • Ability to get along with team members, demonstrate integrity, and express a positive attitude and sense of humor

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a culinary or kitchen environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with senior living or retirement community culinary needs is a plus
  • Passion for food preparation and presentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast and lunch meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation according to WISHA and Spokane County Health regulations
  • Collaborate with culinary team members to ensure timely and efficient food service
  • Plate meals attractively to enhance dining experience
  • Educate residents and staff about healthy food options
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of food items
  • Participate in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
