Job Description

The role of the 3rd Shift Concierge at RLC is a vital overnight position that contributes significantly to the safety, cleanliness, and smooth operation of the community during night hours. This position requires a dependable individual who finds joy in helping others and creating peace of mind. The 3rd Shift Concierge is responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness throughout the community, including tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, operating floor scrubbers, and caring for various shared spaces and amenities. They play a key role in community safety by monitoring building systems, responding quickly and calmly to emergencies, and coordinating with emergency responders.

Supporting administrative and operational functions is also part of this role, which includes handling room-service requests, selling meal tickets, scheduling transportation, and assisting with event setups. The Concierge will also welcome new residents, provide courteous valet services, and maintain professionalism in communication with residents, guests, and staff. This shift runs from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Thursday through Monday, and demands an alert, adaptable individual with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to valet park vehicles safely
  • Able to work Thursday through Monday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Strong problem-solving organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Professional appearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities
  • Willing to assist in various areas
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the local community preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook Word Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must meet local alcohol service requirements
  • Obtain food handler permits within two weeks of hire

Job Duties

  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the community including vacuuming sweeping mopping operating floor scrubber maintaining indoor pond refreshing restrooms and bistro sanitizing high-touch surfaces rolling silverware emptying waste baskets dusting replenishing ice cleaning coffee and ice cream machines caring for salad bar ensuring all shared spaces and furnishings are tidy stocked and ready for the day ahead
  • Respond calmly and quickly to emergencies monitor resident call systems and coordinate with emergency responders as needed
  • Support community safety by monitoring building systems including fire alarms following emergency protocols and guiding residents during fires or severe weather events
  • Assist with administrative support by taking room-service requests selling meal tickets distributing menus completing porch drops scheduling transportation and maintaining organized records
  • Support community operations by walking the community proactively noticing and reporting concerns assisting with event setup and providing responsible alcohol service during gatherings
  • Create memorable first impressions by greeting residents families and guests answering calls with professionalism anticipating needs before they arise and offering courteous valet services to residents and visitors
  • Welcome new residents by introducing yourself whenever you see them
