Job Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must possess a Government ID and social security card
- Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge
- Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Job Qualifications
- Mechanical systems knowledge including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Electrical systems knowledge
- Electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) and/or Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) is a strong plus
Job Duties
- Install and maintain specialized functional and structural components on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance tasks as needed, including availability of 24-hour emergency support when required
- Realign and reposition baggage on the Baggage Handling System (BHS) to maintain smooth system operation and prevent jams or delays
- Monitor and operate the system interface (HMI) to identify, diagnose, and report system issues or malfunctions
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of BHS components under the guidance of the Team Leader or BHS Manager, with a focus on developing both mechanical and electrical skills to improve system performance and support personal technical growth
