Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- two years general clerical experience
- possess or obtain an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card within the first 90 workdays of employment
- ability to create and maintain accurate records and compile reports
- ability to type with accuracy
- ability to take dictation accurately
- ability to operate office equipment including computers and software
- effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintains accurate records and filing systems in accordance with appropriate specified policies and procedures
- updates student records including grades, attendance, discipline, and program testing files
- performs general clerical duties such as typing, answering phones, copying, scheduling meetings
- operates general office equipment including computers and copiers
- provides information regarding programs and procedures to students, parents, and the public according to prescribed procedures
- greets visitors professionally and answers telephones, transferring calls as appropriate
- assists students, parents, teachers, staff, and visitors
- arranges hearing and vision testing and parent conferences for students
- orders student transcripts from home schools
- creates correspondence, writes and responds to emails, processes data entry, types letters, memorandums, reports, and other documents
- completes and submits district forms and prepares department mailings as needed
- reviews and edits materials for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to district policies and procedures
- maintains and purchases inventory and supplies, prepares and handles requisitions, processes receipt of products and supplies, and verifies budget codes for purchasing
- supports the relationship between the district and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior
- maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and client records
- follows governing board policies
- performs all other related duties as required or assigned
