Job Description

The Boston Red Sox Florida Operations Team is an integral part of one of Major League Baseball's most storied franchises, the Boston Red Sox. Dedicated to providing a world-class environment for baseball player development and serving the Southwest Florida community, this team focuses year-round on baseball, business development, and philanthropic engagement. Their objective is to uphold the Red Sox tradition and strive towards winning another World Championship while creating lifelong memories for fans and contributors alike. As a part of the Boston Red Sox organization, known for its strength in fostering talent and community involvement, the Florida Operations Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the high standards of the franchise extend beyond the ballpark into the community and event experiences.

The Florida Operations Department is currently seeking two motivated individuals to join as associates helping to manage the department’s diverse responsibilities. This seasonal role, starting in October 2026 and concluding on April 30, 2027, provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the management of a professional baseball spring training facility, JetBlue Park. This facility not only hosts spring training activities for the Boston Red Sox but also supports a wide variety of non-baseball events including open houses, concerts, 5k races, car shows, and food festivals.

Associates in these positions will learn and contribute to numerous operational aspects such as event set up and breakdown, coordination of charity golf tournaments, management of ballpark security and safety protocols, and oversight of the athletic hydrotherapy area. Moreover, they will be involved in managing promotional inventories, assisting with shipment logistics, and facilitating personnel transport when needed. As the role is dynamic and multifaceted, it offers candidates the chance to acquire valuable skills in event management, facility operations, and team coordination within a professional sports environment. These associates will gain insight into the operational efforts that support an impactful and memorable Spring Training experience, benefiting both players and fans.

The Red Sox Florida Operations Team values inclusivity, teamwork, and excellence, and offers an environment where individuals can develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the success of the club and its community. This employment opportunity is designed for those who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting and seek to be part of a winning culture. With a commitment to diversity and equity, the Boston Red Sox encourages applicants from varied backgrounds to bring their unique skills to the organization, fostering a workplace where everyone feels they belong. This role offers flexibility and learning opportunities, ideal for those seeking either professional growth or college credit, with eligibility starting from the junior year if needed for graduation.
