The current opportunity is for a professional Delivery Driver who will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of products across Spec's network of stores and customers. The Delivery Driver is expected to uphold Spec's mission and core values by maintaining a high standard of service, safety, and communication throughout their daily operations. This includes the careful handling of shipments, verifying delivery contents, accurately documenting variances, and managing returns when necessary.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, with a specific requirement to obtain a Texas driver's license within 90 days if residing in the state. Delivery drivers at Spec's are entrusted with operating delivery vehicles safely, including using industrial machinery for moving heavy pallets and ensuring vehicles are kept neat and orderly. They also provide valuable feedback regarding vehicle conditions and operational issues to management. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must obtain Texas driver’s license within 90 days if new resident
- Over age 21
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use industrial machinery for heavy pallets
- Must have clear driving record
- Ability to work any shift Friday or Saturday
- Ability to be punctual and reliable
- Compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations
- Ability to read and write simple instructions
- Ability to perform basic math without aids
- Good communication skills
- Open availability Monday through Saturday
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of driving experience preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions
- Effective communication skills with coworkers and customers
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and decimals
- Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude
- Patience, friendliness, and outgoing personality

- Valid Class C driver's license

Job Duties
- Know and actively demonstrate daily company mission and core values
- Maintain uniform standard for all worked hours

- Maintain safe driving practices and speeds

- Receive and verify contents of all shipments
- Make notes on invoices for variances and damages during deliveries
- Return damaged products including tax stamps
- Maintain driver route sheet after every stop
- Ensure compliance with filing system for transfer paperwork
- Assist in unloading when required
- Receive payment for deliveries and verify amounts
- Inform manager of inventory issues or discrepancies
- Provide feedback to management regarding delivery vehicle issues
- Fulfill directives of management efficiently
- Practice teamwork and cooperation
- Create and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
- Provide superb customer service
- Possess time management skills and prioritize tasks
- Manage stress in fast-paced environment
- Work in accordance with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Use industrial machines to move pallets up to 2400 pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
