The position within the Chef's Express department at Schnucks is critical to maintaining the high standards of customer service and product quality that the company is known for. Job Requirements

  • High school education
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to demonstrate basic math skills
  • Able to work flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Use of hair restraint such as hair net or hat required
  • Wear clean uniform and name tag at all times
  • Consistent use of cut gloves and safe use of knives
  • Utilize poly or production gloves at all times
  • Wear slip-resistant shoes at all times
  • Ability to determine spoiled or damaged product
  • Works well with others and is a team player
  • Has a passion for serving customers and working with the public
  • Attention to detail due to use of sharp knives, slicers, and related equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Demonstrated basic math skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Basic culinary knowledge
  • Fluency in food service and grocery merchandising equipment
  • Ability to work as a team player
