Job Requirements
- ability to perform cashier duties including cash handling and transaction processing
- strong customer service skills
- ability to follow cash management procedures

- prior experience in retail or cash handling is preferred
- must be able to operate lottery vending machines

Job Qualifications
- minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for store/facility teammates
- minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for store support center teammates
- must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview
Job Duties

- answer phone
- cash checks
- process Western Union transactions
- sell money orders
- process merchandise returns and refunds
- pick up cash from lane sweeps
- know all aspects of checking and help with any issues that may happen at the lane
- settle cash drawers and set up beginning cash balance
- generate sales reports for previous business day
- order money from cash service
- balance safe and generate reports associated with balancing function
- load lottery vending machines
- balance cash from machines with sales reports
- reprint orders
- do journal transactions (in case of receipt printing malfunction at registers)
