Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience cake decorating preferred
- Store/facility teammates minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for internal candidates
- Store Support Center teammates minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for internal candidates
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience cake decorating preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and creativity in cake decoration
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and equipment operation
Job Duties
- Providing incredible customer service by engaging customers in conversation using effective communication skills such as direct eye contact and a smile to build a rapport based on trust and satisfaction
- Assisting customers with product selections, creative themes and designs and suggestive selling
- Operating microwave, bread slicer, ovens and proof boxes
- Decorating cakes with roses, decorative borders, flowers and balloons
- Preparing breads, cakes, donuts and other pastries, including icings and frostings according to established recipes
- Packaging fresh-baked products
- Constantly clean work area and equipment following company safety and sanitation procedures
- Other duties will be assigned at the discretion of the store management
