Job Requirements

  • ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
  • valid health card
  • hepatitis A vaccination
  • mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • favorable outcome of background investigation

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • one to three months related experience or training helpful
  • experience working as a waiter or waitress preferred
  • excellent customer relations and customer service skills
  • ability to handle cash and give correct change
  • skill in resolving problems under pressure
  • ability to learn and operate POS system

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians and KGCC policies and Washington State regulations
  • use the POS system as trained
  • greet guests warmly with a smile and upbeat attitude
  • explain daily specials and recommend appealing items
  • take beverage orders and deliver promptly
  • take food orders by seat number in proper sequence
  • serve orders with women served first
  • clear dishes and glassware politely
  • present guest checks and explain payment process
  • collect payments and provide change as needed
  • provide attentive and friendly service throughout guest visit
  • educate guests on specials and answer questions
  • be knowledgeable about wine and wine pairing
  • communicate guest questions or issues to supervisor
  • keep payments orderly and neat
  • sell and refill beverages including alcohol
  • maintain assigned sections and server stations
  • assist other servers to ensure teamwork
  • complete side work timely and ensure clean work area
  • perform necessary paperwork at shift end
  • relay guest feedback to supervisors
  • maintain confidential tip records
  • attend all training meetings
  • assist in other projects as directed
  • may serve as a panelist for Internal Review Board Hearings
  • duties and responsibilities are subject to change as needed
