Job Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements
- Willingness to undergo background checks and security clearances
- Availability to participate in both training and operational deployments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of Army National Guard Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in stressful situations
- Team player with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with air traffic control management and radar procedures is beneficial
- Willingness to learn and adapt to military standards and operational requirements
Job Duties
- Control airborne and ground traffic
- Assist in the installation/relocation of tactical air traffic control facilities
- Process flight plan data and maintain logs, records, files, and tape recordings of voice communications
- Provide guidance on technical air traffic control issues to other Soldiers
- Brief shift personnel on runway utilization, airfield conditions, weather, and ground activity
- Monitor aircraft movement and coordinate safe takeoff and landing procedures
- Ensure compliance with operational and safety protocols
