Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or hotel operations experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work well within a team
- Effective multitasking abilities
- Patience and composure under pressure
- Knowledge of POS systems, preferably ALOHA
- Valid CABC certification required
- Valid Food Handler's certificate required

Job Duties
- Contribute positively to the team within the department
- Prepare for all guest requests
- Participate in on-going training
- Comply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Maintain complete knowledge of table, seat, station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, major ingredients, quality standards, and presentation
- Adhere to state liquor regulations and policies
- Organize assigned stations and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival
- Greet guests and suggest beverage orders using upselling techniques
- Relay daily specials and answer questions about menu selections
- Take guests orders utilizing upselling techniques and record orders following service standards
- Input orders into system and verify transmission to kitchen
- Work closely with kitchen team on service and timing
- Monitor and anticipate guest needs, responding promptly
- Maintain positive guest relations and be familiar with all hotel services and features
- Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
- Total charges, present and process guest checks according to policy
- Adhere to payment, cash handling, credit card, and room charge policies
- Assist Food Runners as required to ensure optimum service levels
- Attend meetings and training sessions
- Assist with side work and additional prep work
