Job Description

The Server position at Hacienda is a dynamic role perfect for candidates who thrive in a high-energy environment and enjoy interacting with people. This position requires an outgoing personality, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a passion for delivering top-tier hospitality. Servers are the frontline ambassadors of the brand, responsible for engaging guests from the moment they walk in with warm greetings like "Margaritas today?" and providing freshly made chips and salsa to set the tone for their visit. The role is more than just taking orders and delivering food; it’s about crafting an entire 'Fiesta Experience' that leaves guests saying, "WOW... That was a fun, wacky, unexpected, unforgettable experience!"

In addition to impeccable guest service, the Server must efficiently manage order taking, use the POS system to process transactions, and ensure that food and drinks are served quickly and accurately. Caring for guests includes carding those under 40, offering suggestive sales of specials and extras, and paying attention to the unique preferences of each visitor to tailor the service accordingly. Teamwork is a crucial part of this role, as the Server works closely with kitchen staff and other team members to maintain a clean and well-stocked environment, performing sidework and cleaning duties as needed.

Ideal candidates will be at least 18 years old with a positive, fun-loving attitude and the willingness to learn. While prior foodservice experience is helpful, Hacienda provides comprehensive training over 6-8 shifts to prepare new Servers to succeed independently. Physical endurance is necessary since the role involves being on one's feet for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and balancing large trays. Additionally, Servers must be able to obtain a liquor license in the state of Indiana and comply with responsible alcohol service requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain a liquor license in the state of Indiana
  • Must provide responsible alcohol service
  • Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must verify identification and age requirements of guests
  • Able to handle guests’ payments and operate POS system
  • Must provide reliable and regular attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
