United States - Texas - Lackland AFB

Basic Military Training (BMT)

• 342nd Training Squadron: Training for Pararescuemen, Combat Controllers, Special Reconnaissance, Tactical Air Control Party, Special Warfare Airmen, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Specialists, and advanced Security Forces courses.
• 343rd Training Squadron: Security Forces training academy.
• 344th Training Squadron: Courses in Career Enlisted Aviator, Vehicle Maintenance, Logistics Readiness Officer, Logistics Plans, Materiel Management, Contracting, Recruiting, Safety, Cryptological, and TEMPEST.
• 345th Training Squadron: Training in Services, Air Transportation, Hazardous Material Transportation School (HAZMAT), and Traffic Management Office career fields.

Historical Significance

Established in 1941, Lackland AFB has a rich history, including its role during World War II and the Cold War. The base was named after Brigadier General Frank Lackland in 1948.

Over the years, it has undergone various expansions and enhancements to meet the evolving needs of the USAF.
