Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is a prominent not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare system serving the Greater Philadelphia area, including parts of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Established in October 2018, it unified several esteemed institutions: Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Fitzgerald Campus in Darby, Pennsylvania; Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Philadelphia Campus; Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia; Saint Francis Healthcare in Wilmington, Delaware; and St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Hospitals

The system encompasses four acute care hospitals:

• Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Fitzgerald Campus: Located in Darby, Pennsylvania, this 204-bed teaching hospital offers advanced acute care services, including comprehensive heart and vascular care, cancer care, bariatrics, orthopedics, and ambulatory services.
• Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Philadelphia Campus: Situated in West Philadelphia, this 157-bed community teaching hospital provides services such as emergency care, surgical procedures, cardiac care, oncology, wound care, and rehabilitation.
• Nazareth Hospital: Serving Northeast Philadelphia, this facility offers 205 acute beds and 28 skilled nursing beds, with services including nationally certified stroke care, orthopedic care, heart and vascular services, cancer care, and a Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
• St. Mary Medical Center: Located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, this hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, surgical procedures, and specialized programs.

Specialized Programs

In addition to acute care facilities, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic operates several specialized programs:

• Mercy LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly): A nationally recognized Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), Mercy LIFE offers community-based long-term care for seniors with various health conditions, including chronic illnesses and memory loss.
• Mercy Home Health: Serving over 27,000 people in the Philadelphia five-county area, Mercy Home Health provides services such as palliative care, rehabilitation therapy, in-home telemonitoring, skilled home nursing, and post-partum care.
