Toot'n Totum's story began in 1950 when a young entrepreneurial couple, Eldon "Lefty" and Novie Mitchell established their first convenience store at 15th and Washington. At its inception, customers would literally drive up, toot their horns, and the store's clerk would tote the orders outside to the cars. As one of the largest private employers in the Amarillo area, with over 1600 Team Members are waiting at 100+ stores in Amarillo, Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico. Today's stores not only include fuel islands, ready to eat foods, grocery items, and fountain areas; many also include an array of services including the Texas Lottery, Western Union, , TnT Car Wash, Fast and Fresh, Mitch's BBQ, Lawn Pros, Cleaning Pros, TnT Lube Center, Which Wich, and Wendy's.
