The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) is a bi-state agency established in 1921 through an interstate compact between New York and New Jersey. It oversees and manages critical transportation and trade infrastructure within the Port of New York and New Jersey, a 1,500-square-mile port district encompassing a 25-mile radius from the Statue of Liberty.
