About The Pecan
The Pecan was an upscale Southern restaurant located in College Park, Georgia, approximately 15 minutes south of downtown Atlanta. Established in 2006, it was helmed by Chef Tony Morrow, a Buckhead Life alum.
The restaurant was known for its refined Southern fare served in a casual, small-town setting. Signature dishes included Gulf shrimp cocktail, oven-roasted pecan chicken, and fried catfish served with cheesy grits and collard greens.
Location and Services
The Pecan operated at 3725 Main Street, College Park, GA 30337. It offered private dining for 10 or more guests from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm on Sundays and all day on Mondays.
The restaurant was also known for its live jazz during brunch hours, enhancing the dining experience with quality entertainment.
Closure and Airport Location
In 2016, The Pecan closed its doors in College Park. However, an outpost remained open at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
This location, known as The Pecan Bar, is situated at 6000 N Terminal Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30320. It offers a variety of Southern comfort food and contemporary cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu features seasonal ingredients and signature dishes, complemented by a selection of local wines and craft cocktails.
Current Status
As of July 2025, The Pecan Bar at the airport remains operational, providing travelers with a taste of Southern hospitality and cuisine.
