SMGHA Nevada, LLC

San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority (SMGHA) is a governmental entity of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, established to manage gaming and hospitality ventures beyond the San Manuel Reservation.

In December 2021, SMGHA Nevada, LLC, a subsidiary of SMGHA, acquired the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, marking a significant expansion into the Las Vegas market.

Palms Casino Resort Details

The Palms Casino Resort, located just west of the Las Vegas Strip, features two distinct towers with 766 hotel rooms and suites.

The resort offers a diverse mix of bars, restaurants, live entertainment venues, and a 95,000-square-foot reimagined casino.

Amenities include a 2,500-seat theater, pool and spa facilities, and Palms Place condominiums.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

Since reopening in April 2022, the Palms has been committed to community engagement through its philanthropic branch, Palms Cares.

By September 2023, Palms Cares had awarded over $4 million in grants to local nonprofits and contributed more than 700 volunteer hours.

The initiative focuses on causes such as education, empowerment, cultural preservation, and community health.

This includes more than $10.3 million in donations to educational institutions such as UNLV Boyd School of Law and the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, funding programs in tribal law and tribal gaming operations.
