Slows Bar BQ is a renowned barbecue restaurant chain based in Detroit, Michigan, celebrated for its slow-cooked meats and vibrant atmosphere. Established in 2005, the flagship location is situated in the historic Corktown neighborhood at 2138 Michigan Avenue.

Ownership and Expansion

In 2023, Slows Bar BQ underwent a change in ownership. The Cooley family sold their stake to Slows Holdings LLC, a group comprising founding chef Brian Perrone, managing director Terry Perrone, and catering director Josh Keillor.

This new ownership has led to plans for further expansion, including the opening of a full-service restaurant in Berkley, Michigan, scheduled for late summer or early fall 2025.

Slows Bar BQ has garnered numerous accolades over the years and was named Best Barbecue in Wayne County in 2024.
