Ski Sundown, located in New Hartford, Connecticut, is a premier ski resort offering a variety of winter sports and activities for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

Operating from early December through late March, the resort provides both day and night skiing and snowboarding, ensuring guests can enjoy the slopes seven days a week.

Trails and Terrain

The resort boasts 17 trails, with 16 illuminated for night skiing, catering to a diverse range of abilities.

Facilities and Upgrades

In the 2024-2025 season, Ski Sundown introduced the Skytrac Quad chairlift with a conveyor loading system, the first of its kind in Connecticut.

This lift replaced the Borvig Exhibition Triple chairlift, installed in 1977, and increases capacity by 600 passengers per hour, reducing ride time from 5 to 4.5 minutes.

Snow conditions are consistently maintained with 100% snowmaking coverage and twice-daily grooming, ensuring reliable and optimal skiing conditions throughout the season.

Snowsports School

The resort offers a comprehensive Snowsports School with programs for children as young as 3, teens, and adults, including group, private, and multi-week lessons.

Ski Sundown also provides adaptive lessons for individuals with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities in partnership with Summit Adaptive Sports Inc.

Additional Amenities

Beyond skiing and snowboarding, the resort features two terrain parks, a designated mogul trail in spring, and free NASTAR racing on Sundays and Thursdays.

Guests can enjoy après-ski amenities, including:
