Shy Bird

Shy Bird is an innovative all-day rotisserie, bar, and café concept based in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded by restaurateur Andrew Holden, the establishment aims to provide an approachable, affordable, and accessible dining experience. It offers crave-worthy food, warmth, and hospitality throughout the day.

The menu at Shy Bird is diverse and adaptable, catering to various times of the day and customer preferences. For breakfast, patrons can enjoy a selection of grain bowls, morning-friendly salads, egg sandwiches, tartines, and house-specialty scrambled egg bowls.

Lunch and dinner offerings include rotisserie options such as signature "lunch plates" featuring light or dark-meat chicken served with house-made sauces and dressed greens. Prime beef brisket, roasted cauliflower, and heritage pork ribs are also offered.

Other menu items include sandwiches like roasted cauliflower with crispy onions and slow-roasted pork with aged provolone, alongside salads and small plates featuring sugar snap peas with almond vinaigrette, mint, and ricotta.

In addition to its culinary offerings, Shy Bird provides a robust beverage program that includes coffee, tea, espresso drinks, and a selection of cocktails. The bar opens daily at 10 a.m., serving drinks like the hibiscus-scented Hendricks Gin and tonic, the Alpine Highball with sherry, chartreuse, lemon, and mint, and the Dirty Birdy, a vodka martini-like cocktail made with herb-infused brine.

To accommodate remote workers, Shy Bird offers a "Work From Shy Bird" package. This initiative provides:

• A work-friendly environment with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, printing services, newspapers, magazines, office supplies, chargers, and second screens
• Breakfast or lunch and bottomless coffee, tea, and espresso drinks
• Availability at their South Boston location and launched at the Fenway location in March 2025

- Kendall Square: The original location, opened in 2019, situated at 390 Third St, Cambridge, MA 02142.

- South Boston: Located at 12 Old Colony Ave, Boston, MA 02127, this venue offers a dog-friendly outdoor patio and services such as reservations, walk-ins, takeout, delivery, catering, large parties, events, and monthly subscriptions.

- Fenway: The newest and largest location opened on March 4, 2025, at 201 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215. It features a spacious patio and a design reflecting the dynamic atmosphere of the Fenway neighborhood.
