About Porter Corp
Porter Corp, established in 1964 as W. H. Porter, is a leading innovator in architectural structures. It specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of high-performance building systems. The company pioneered the production of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), creating the PorterSIPs brand. These panels offer integrated building solutions that combine structural integrity with superior insulation in a single, rigid panel.
To further enhance SIP capabilities, Porter Corp developed the Poligon brand. This introduced the first tubular bolt-together steel frame with concealed bolts. The innovation led to a diverse range of shade structures, including steel, fabric, and wood applications. Poligon is now a leader in the design and manufacturing of open-air structures.
In 2016, Porter Corp expanded by becoming part of PlayCore, a Chattanooga, Tennessee–based company. PlayCore is dedicated to building healthy communities through play and recreation. This partnership enhanced Porter Corp's focus on customer satisfaction and delivering excellence in service and product offerings.
