Pacific Shipyards International, LLC (PSI) is a family-owned, full-service shipyard with a rich history dating back to 1944. Founded by Fred Loui originally as Pacific Refrigeration, PSI has evolved into the state’s largest privately-owned shipyard. It offers comprehensive maritime repair and conversion services.
PSI's facility covers seven acres in Honolulu Harbor at Pier 24 and features two dry docks. The larger dry dock, Ho’ōla I Nā Moku, has a lifting capacity of 7,500 long tons, capable of servicing vessels like the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship. The smaller dry dock holds a capacity of 2,000 long tons, suitable for ships such as U.S. Coast Guard Cutters and Navy Torpedo Retrievers.
