Olympic Club

The Olympic Club, established on May 6, 1860, in San Francisco, California, is the oldest athletic club in the United States. Over the past 160 years, it has grown into a premier institution dedicated to fostering amateur athletics and promoting a spirit of camaraderie among its members.

Clubhouse Facilities

The Olympic Club operates two historic clubhouses in San Francisco.

• City Clubhouse: Located near Union Square at 524 Post Street, this clubhouse offers a range of amenities, including a pub, dining rooms, meeting and banquet rooms, guestrooms, a fitness center, handball and squash courts, basketball courts, swimming pools, and a rooftop deck.
• Lakeside Clubhouse: Situated at 599 Skyline Boulevard, this facility is home to the club's three golf courses and provides additional amenities for members.

Golf Courses

The Olympic Club boasts three championship golf courses.

• Lake Course: An 18-hole, par-71 course designed by Sam Whiting and Willie Watson in 1924, with a length of 7,170 yards. It has hosted five U.S. Open Championships, including the 2012 event won by Webb Simpson.
• Ocean Course: Also an 18-hole, par-71 course, measuring 6,925 yards. Redesigned by Tom Weiskopf, it has hosted various tournaments, including the 2021 U.S. Women's Open.
• Cliffs Course: A 9-hole, par-3 course measuring 1,800 yards, offering scenic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Athletic Programs and Facilities
