New Orleans Jewish Community Center

The New Orleans Jewish Community Center (NOJCC) is a vibrant, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Greater New Orleans area. It offers a diverse array of programs and services that cater to individuals and families of all backgrounds.

Facilities and Services

The NOJCC operates two main campuses:

• Uptown Facility: Located at 5342 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70115, this campus features a state-of-the-art fitness center, the Oscar J. Tolmas Aquatic Center with both indoor and outdoor pools, and a variety of meeting and event spaces.
• Metairie Facility: Situated at 3747 W. Esplanade Avenue, Metairie, LA 70002, this campus offers a fitness center, gymnasium, personal training studio, group exercise and cycling studio, outdoor swimming pool, and outdoor playgrounds for children.

Programs and Activities

The NOJCC provides a wide range of programs for all age groups:

• Early Childhood Center: Serving children from 13 months to 5 years, the center offers a play-based, child-centered curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Enrichment activities include music, movement, swim lessons, and art, all infused with Jewish culture and traditions.
• Youth and Adult Sports: The center organizes year-round sports leagues and fitness classes suitable for various age groups, promoting physical health and community engagement.
• Summer Day Camps: Offering fun-filled summer programs, the camps provide children with opportunities for learning, recreation, and socialization in a supportive environment.
• Senior Services: Programs like Mind Matters and ACE (Alzheimer’s Care & Enrichment) offer support for older adults, including memory enhancement classes and structured activities for those with dementia, fostering healthy aging and community connection.
