Neighborhood Health Association

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Toledo, Ohio, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay.

Established in 1969, NHA has grown from a single location to become the largest community health center system in Northwest Ohio. It operates 12 medical and dental clinics throughout Lucas County.

A notable initiative by NHA is the Mildred Bayer Clinic for the Homeless, which has provided clinical services to the homeless population since 1984.

In 2016, the clinic expanded to include dental, case management, and vision care, highlighting NHA's commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

NHA's commitment to quality care is evident through its partnerships with organizations like ProMedica, Mercy Health, and the University of Toledo Medical Center. These collaborations enhance the range and quality of services offered to the community.

In addition to healthcare services, NHA is actively involved in community initiatives.

For example, in July 2025, NHA partnered with Jones Leadership Academy of Business and other organizations to host a hygiene product donation drive. The goal was to stock the school's hygiene pantry for the year and promote good hygiene habits among students.
