NATIVE HEALTH

NATIVE HEALTH is a non-profit community health center dedicated to providing comprehensive, culturally sensitive healthcare services to urban American Indians, Alaska Natives, and other underserved populations in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Established over 40 years ago, NATIVE HEALTH has grown to operate three primary locations: NATIVE HEALTH Central, NHW Community Health Center, and NATIVE HEALTH Mesa.

Locations and Services

NATIVE HEALTH Central, located at 4041 North Central Avenue in Phoenix, offers a wide array of services including primary medical care, dental services, behavioral health support, and community health and wellness programs. It operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing both in-person and virtual healthcare options.

NHW Community Health Center, at 8800 North 22nd Avenue in Phoenix, provides medical and dental walk-ins. Emergency dental walk-ins are accepted Monday through Friday during specific hours. The center also offers WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) services, with walk-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

NATIVE HEALTH Mesa, located at 777 West Southern Avenue in Mesa, serves the Mesa community with similar services. It operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with telehealth and virtual services available until 7:00 p.m. Food distribution is also available Monday through Friday during morning hours.

Community Engagement and Support

Beyond healthcare, NATIVE HEALTH is committed to community engagement and cultural enrichment. It hosts events such as the annual Native American Traditional Children's Pageant and the Open House and Health Fair, featuring free food, games, and health resources.

The organization also provides free Kid’s Cafe meals for children 18 and under at all locations, targeting food insecurity among underserved populations.

For those needing assistance with AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) enrollment or renewal, Patient Enrollment Specialists offer support in person, by phone, or via Zoom during various hours.
