About Madison Metropolitan School District
Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is a public school district headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Serving over 25,000 students across 52 schools, it is the second-largest school district in the state.
The district encompasses approximately 74 square miles, including the cities of Madison and Fitchburg, the villages of Shorewood Hills and Maple Bluff, and the towns of Blooming Grove and Burke.
Educational Structure
MMSD offers a comprehensive educational experience from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. It comprises 32 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, and 6 high schools.
