As of 2025, Kura Sushi operates over 80 locations in 23 states. The dining experience centers on a dual-layer conveyor belt system. Diners select from sushi and small plates moving along the revolving bar or place made-to-order requests via touchscreens at each table.

The restaurant follows the Japanese principle of "muten," meaning "nothing added." All dishes are prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients free from artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives, and colorings.

Its menu includes premium selections like Otoro (fatty tuna belly), Chutoro (medium-fatty tuna), and Akami (lean tuna), alongside unique offerings such as Wasabi Bluefin Tuna Akami and Bluefin Tuna Trio.

To further enhance the experience, Kura Sushi incorporates interactive elements like the "Bikkura Pon" reward system. After consuming 15 plates, diners receive a toy charm delivered via a tube above the table, adding a playful touch to the meal.
