About KIPP
KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, is a network of tuition-free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools dedicated to serving students in historically underserved communities across the United States. Established in 1994 by Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin, both former Teach For America corps members, KIPP has grown into one of the largest public charter school networks in the country.
The organization's mission is to create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond—so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.
KIPP's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism is unwavering, both in its classrooms and in the communities it serves.
