Hudson Portuguese Club

The Hudson Portuguese Club, established in 1919, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Portuguese culture and heritage in Hudson, Massachusetts. Over the years, it has become a central hub for the local Portuguese community.

The Riverview Restaurant, Lounge, and Outdoor Patio are open to the public, offering a range of Portuguese dishes.

The restaurant is known for its generous portions and fresh food, with popular dishes like Brazilian moqueca and steak and shrimp.

The outdoor seating area provides a pleasant environment for dining during favorable weather.

The restaurant operates with varying hours from Tuesday to Sunday.

Affiliated Societies and Organizations

The Club sponsors several cultural groups including:

• Amigos de Santo Espírito: Established in 2005, this group promotes an annual social and cultural event in October, gathering people from Santo Espírito and their friends.
• Banda Recreativa do Clube Português de Hudson (Hudson Portuguese Club Band): A musical group performing traditional Portuguese music at various events.
• Grupo Folclórico de Crianças (Children’s Folklore Dance Group): Teaches children traditional Portuguese music, songs, and dance, fostering cultural appreciation.
• Grupo das Candeias: A musical group performing traditional Portuguese music primarily from the Azorean Islands at various events.
• Portugal ’73: A weekly Portuguese radio program broadcast on Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon featuring music, interviews, and news.

Membership and Community Engagement
