Holiday Stationstores, founded in 1928 by brothers Arthur and Alfred Erickson in Centuria, Wisconsin, began as a general store committed to providing quality goods and exceptional customer service.
In 1939, they expanded into the petroleum business, opening their first Holiday-branded gas station in Lindstrom, Minnesota.
Over the decades, the company grew to become the 18th largest convenience store chain in the United States, operating over 500 locations across 10 states.

Acquisition and Branding
In July 2017, Holiday Stationstores was acquired by Alimentation Couche-Tard, a Canadian multinational convenience store operator, becoming part of the Circle K family.
This acquisition allowed Holiday to integrate business practices and food service models, including "grab-and-go" meals and car wash subscriptions.
Starting in 2022, the company began phasing out the Holiday brand in favor of Circle K on a market-by-market basis.
