Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas is a dedicated organization committed to empowering girls and young women across a vast region. It serves all counties in Arkansas except Crittenden, plus Adair, LeFlore, and Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma, and Bowie and Cass counties in Texas. The council reaches over 4,000 girls and more than 2,000 volunteers.

Established on October 1, 2008, through the merger of six regional Girl Scout councils, Girl Scouts – Diamonds offers a comprehensive leadership development program designed for girls aged 5 to 17. The organization focuses on building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world better.

The council provides a wide array of programs and activities catering to diverse member interests and needs. These include outdoor adventures, community service projects, and leadership training. A strong emphasis is placed on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.

Notable programs such as Girl BOTS and Space Explorers inspire girls in STEAM fields. Summer camps are a highlight of the experience in this region. Camp NOARK, near Huntsville, Arkansas, offers a full summer schedule with horseback riding, arts and crafts, and wildlife and water activities.

These camps are designed for various age groups, from rising 2nd graders to rising 12th graders, fostering personal growth and leadership skills.

Community Engagement and Development

Girl Scouts – Diamonds is committed to community engagement and growth. In May 2025, the council broke ground on the Burnham Woods Capital Project, a $1.3 million initiative to expand youth programming and enhance STEAM education across the Fort Smith region and beyond.

This project involves renovating existing facilities and adding new spaces to foster creativity, leadership, and exploration among girls.

  • Service centers in Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Pine Bluff, and Texarkana
  • Camps including Camp Cahinnio near Booneville, Camp Crossed Arrows south of Batesville, Burnham Woods in Fort Smith, Radford House in Hot Springs, and Camp NOARK near Huntsville
