Established in 2013 through the merger of Salem Gastroenterology Associates (founded in 1979) and Piedmont Gastroenterology Specialists (established in 1957), GAP has become a leading provider of digestive health services in the Greater Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.

• Colonoscopy: An endoscopic examination of the large bowel and distal part of the small bowel, allowing for visual diagnosis and potential biopsy or removal of colorectal cancer lesions.
• Endoscopy: A procedure that enables physicians to view the upper gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, aiding in the evaluation of swallowing difficulties, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and detection of inflammation, ulcers, or tumors.
• Endoscopic Ultrasound: A test that allows doctors to examine the lining and walls of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, as well as nearby internal organs such as the gallbladder and pancreas.
