Empowherto Inc

EmpowHERto Inc. is a dynamic, women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering minority girls and young women aged 14 to 21. Established in Toronto, Canada, in 2017, it expanded to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in July 2020, focusing on underserved Latina and Black communities in Districts 2, 3, and 4.

The organization's mission is to equip young women with the tools they need to succeed and influence positive systemic change. It offers a range of programs designed to build confidence and enhance leadership skills in various facets of life.

Programs Offered

• ADVISHER: A bi-weekly mentorship program connecting participants with women experts to help build confidence and leadership skills.
• CODEHER: Equips participants with coding skills to produce simple programs, fostering interest in technology through project-based learning.
• DATA4HER: Focuses on coding, data analytics, and digital empowerment tailored for young women.
• EMBRACEHER: A 12-week program prioritizing mental health and self-care across emotional, physical, and psychological aspects.
• FINANCE4HER: Empowers young women with money management skills and breaking negative financial habits, including opening savings accounts.
• FOUNDHER: Develops leadership and entrepreneurial skills culminating in a pitch contest with a chance to win $500.

In 2023, EmpowHERto served over 652 girls, invested $350,000 in the community, and facilitated the creation of 92 small businesses.
