The DuPage County Regional Office of Education (ROE), headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois, serves as a pivotal educational service organization within DuPage County. Services and Programs Offered by DuPage County ROE

• Licensure Support: The ROE assists educators with initial licensure, renewal, and professional development requirements. It serves as a liaison to the Illinois State Board of Education and conducts fingerprint-based background checks for substitute teachers, contractors, and new employees within DuPage County school districts.
• Professional Development: Offering high-quality, data-driven, research-based learning programs, the ROE provides services to educators, parents, students, schools, and districts. Programs include Administrators’ Academy courses, assistance in developing school improvement plans, and Institute Day programs to enable all students to succeed academically and in life.
• Work-Based Learning and Career Exploration: In partnership with the College of DuPage and GPS Education Partners, the ROE supports hands-on work-based learning opportunities. These include paid internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and workplace tours, helping high school students align personal interests with careers. Pathways currently cover manufacturing and IT, with plans to expand.
• Center for Student Success: This center provides a continuum of services including the Rebound program for short-term placements, Partners for Success for longer-term placements, and the ALOP program for students seeking a high school equivalency credential. These initiatives support academic success and post-secondary preparation.
• Truancy Intervention: The ROE works with youth referred by schools for chronic absenteeism. Truancy Behavior Interventionists collaborate with families and youth to address contributing factors, aiming to improve attendance and student success.
