This program creates phone-free environments during instructional time to help students fully engage in their learning experiences.
Strategic Planning and Development
The district's strategic efforts include the 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, developed with extensive community input to guide student success and achievement.
Additionally, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) addresses facility needs, focusing on the design and construction of improvements to existing schools and building new facilities.
Accreditation and Budget
In 2017, DCSD received a full, five-year renewal of its accreditation from AdvancED, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining high educational standards.
The district operates with a budget of $2.6 billion and employs over 14,500 staff members, including more than 6,000 teachers.
