About Covenant College Students

Covenant College Students is a student-led organization at Covenant College, a private liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America. Located atop Lookout Mountain in Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee, the college offers a rigorous academic environment grounded in a Reformed Christian worldview.

Academic Programs

The college provides a comprehensive liberal arts education with degrees including Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Education. Majors cover diverse fields such as Biology, Business, Chemistry, Communication, Computer Science, Education, English, History, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

Campus Life and Student Organizations

Covenant College fosters a vibrant campus life with over forty clubs and organizations available to students. These include the Laugh Track improv team, Outdoor Recreation Club, Paintball Club, Philosophy Club, Pickleball Club, Pre-Law Club, Pre-Med Club, Robotics Club, and Spikeball Club.

Athletics

Sports play an important role, with the Scots competing in 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports. Men's teams include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and track & field. Women's teams participate in basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.

Notable achievements include the women's volleyball team finishing the 2023 season with a 35–3 record and the men's tennis team securing two consecutive conference titles.

Campus Setting and Facilities

The campus is located in a rural, mountaintop setting that offers a serene environment for academic and personal growth. Carter Hall is the central building for student housing, dining, and services.

The Dora Maclellan Brown Chapel hosts the music and theater departments and offers chapel services three times a week, encouraging spiritual development and community worship.
