In April 2023, Brown Jug expanded by opening a new 4,000-square-foot store at 1160 Huffman Park Drive in Anchorage. This boutique-style location includes "The Cache," featuring rare and exclusive wines, spirits, and cigars selected by Alaska's only Cigar Sommelier, Whitney Hillman.

In 2020, Brown Jug was acquired by Afognak Native Corporation, another 100% Alaskan-owned company. This acquisition reinforced Brown Jug's dedication to the Alaskan community and responsible retail practices.
