Bread Man Baking Company is a Houston-based artisan bakery renowned for its handcrafted, naturally fermented breads and European-inspired pastries. Founded in 2018 by CEO Tasos Katsaounis, the company has experienced significant growth. It has expanded its operations and product offerings to meet the increasing demand for high-quality baked goods.
The bakery specializes in a variety of breads, including traditional sourdough, baguettes, and focaccia. All are made using time-honored techniques and locally sourced ingredients. Bread Man Baking Co. is the only commercial bakery in Houston to source flours from King Arthur Flour and wheat and heritage grains from Barton Springs Mills.
Facility and Production
In response to growing demand, Bread Man Baking Co. relocated from its original 4,753-square-foot facility to a new 40,800-square-foot plant at 305 Gellhorn Drive in Houston. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to service more than 500 wholesale customers.
The new plant features new production lines including automated slicing and packaging. It also has a burger bun/roll line that triples production capacity to 9,000 units per hour.

The bakery's products are available in over 70 restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores across the Houston metro area. These include many top chef-driven establishments.
Bread Man Baking Co. has partnered with major retailers such as Whole Foods and H-E-B, expanding its reach to multiple states. These include:

Leadership and Operations
In 2024, the company hired chef Jess DeSham Timmons as Foodservice Sales Manager to further enhance its growth and community engagement.
Bread Man Baking Co. operates its main facility at 305 Gellhorn Drive, Houston, TX 77013. The bakery is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
