Blue Plate Restaurant Company is a locally owned and operated collection of community-inspired restaurants based in Minnesota. Established in 1993 by David Burley and Stephanie Shimp, the company has grown to include several diverse dining establishments, each offering a unique culinary experience.

The company's journey began with the opening of the Highland Grill in St. Paul's Highland neighborhood. This was followed by the Groveland Tap, a bar and burger joint in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood, and the Edina Grill in Edina.

Over the years, Blue Plate expanded its portfolio to include the Longfellow Grill, 3 Squares Restaurant, The Lowry, The Freehouse, and The Blue Barn at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

Each restaurant in the Blue Plate family offers from-scratch, craveable food complemented by a selection of local craft beers, wines, and creative cocktails. The company emphasizes creating welcoming environments that encourage people to come together, share stories, and build new memories.
