This hospital offers a wide array of services including a 24-hour Emergency Department for adults and children, comprehensive cardiovascular care, general, vascular, and endovascular surgery, maternity services, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, cancer services, and women's health programs.

Bethesda Hospital East is recognized for its excellence, holding Joint Commission-accredited Centers for Chest Pain and Heart Failure. It has been designated as an ANCC Pathway to Excellence Organization and received an "A" rating for safety from The Leapfrog Group. The hospital was also honored with the 2016 National Women's Choice Award for Stroke and Heart Care.

The organization operates Bethesda Health Group, a non-profit, non-denominational senior living, care, and services organization based in St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 1889, Bethesda Health Group has been addressing the needs of seniors and their families for over 130 years.

The organization offers independent living, assisted living, and long-term care communities, as well as home and community-based programs. Their mission is to be the premier provider of care and services for seniors in the St. Louis region while maintaining financial strength and providing fulfilling career opportunities.

In addition to its healthcare services, Bethesda Health is involved in various community initiatives. The organization hosts public educational events on important issues such as Alzheimer's prevention and care, provides free health screenings, and offers seasonal flu vaccines.

Bethesda Health has partnered with Meals on Wheels of Greater St. Louis for more than 25 years to provide nutritious meals to the elderly, handicapped, and homebound in the area. Employees and volunteers at Bethesda Dilworth prepare more than 1,200 meals each month for seniors living in Webster Groves, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury, Brentwood, and Crestwood. Bethesda Southgate also delivers more than 800 meals monthly to seniors living in South St. Louis County.
