Asian Health Services

Asian Health Services (AHS) is a comprehensive healthcare provider dedicated to serving the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Alameda County, California. It was established in 1974 and emphasizes "whole patient health" to address the diverse needs of its patients.

AHS provides a wide range of medical, dental, and mental health services focused on the Oakland and San Leandro areas.

Medical Services

The organization offers primary care services for individuals of all ages. This includes perinatal care, children's health, adolescent health, adult health, and elderly health.

The medical team is board-certified in Family or Internal Medicine and manages chronic diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes. Preventive services cover cancer, TB, and diabetes screenings as well as adult immunizations.

Specialty services at AHS include cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecology, minor surgery, and neurology.

The clinic staff is bilingual and bicultural in languages including Cantonese, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Mandarin, Mien, Vietnamese, and English.

Additional Services

AHS offers a Teen Clinic for patients aged 12 to 25 with confidential healthcare services available in person and via telehealth on the first three Tuesdays of each month.

Urgent care is also available at the Asian Resource Center, located at 817 Harrison Street, Oakland, CA, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and on the fourth and fifth Wednesdays each month.
