Asian Americans for Equality

Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing racial, social, and economic justice for Asian Americans and other systematically disadvantaged communities. Founded in 1974 in Manhattan's Chinatown, AAFE has expanded into a comprehensive community development organization. It is committed to empowering individuals and families through various programs and initiatives.

Affordable Housing Development

AAFE addresses the affordable housing crisis by developing and preserving affordable housing units across New York City. Since its inception, the organization has created over 1,200 affordable homes, ensuring that low- and moderate-income families have access to safe and stable living environments.

Small Business Services

Through its affiliate, Renaissance Economic Development Corporation, AAFE provides low-interest loans, training, and counseling services to immigrant entrepreneurs. This support fosters economic growth and stability within underserved communities, enabling small businesses to thrive and contribute to the local economy.

Homeownership Programs

AAFE offers homeowner counseling and financing through its AAFE Community Development Fund. These programs assist families in achieving the dream of homeownership by providing financial education, down payment assistance, and guidance throughout the home-buying process.
