AERRC-Alaska Teacher and Personnel

The Alaska Educator Retention and Recruitment Center (AERRC) serves as the central organization dedicated to strengthening teacher retention and recruitment efforts across Alaska. Administered by the Alaska Council of School Administrators in partnership with the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, AERRC aims to ensure every Alaskan community benefits from a stable, effective, and supported educator workforce.

AERRC offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to support educators and school districts across the state. One primary initiative is the AERRC Job Board, a centralized platform for job seekers to explore and apply for positions across all 53 Alaska school districts and related education providers.

This platform streamlines the application process, allowing candidates to submit materials to multiple districts simultaneously.

In addition to recruitment, AERRC is committed to enhancing teacher retention through the implementation of the Governor’s Teacher Retention and Recruitment (TR&R) Playbook. This strategic framework fosters collaboration among educators, administrators, and community stakeholders to develop sustainable practices that enrich teaching and learning environments.
