Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years full-time similar vehicle driving experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 25 years old to operate shuttle or drive guests, and at least 21 years old to operate other vehicles
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in past 36 months
- No DUI convictions in past 5 years
- No involvement in vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault
- No suspended or revoked driver's license history
- No use of a vehicle in commission of a felony
- No operating a vehicle without owner's permission
- No reckless driving or speed contests
- No leaving the scene of an accident
- No eluding police officers
- No operating a cell phone while driving violations
- No positive drug or alcohol tests including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion
- Must be able to stand and perform physical duties for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance per company standards
- Must comply with attendance and workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Valid driver license required
- Good communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Basic computer and computational skills
- Ability to deal effectively with customers, showing patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
- Self-driven and able to work independently
Job Duties
- Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
- Inform guests of hotel safety features and promote outlets when possible
- Offer information about hotel services and local attractions
- Store guest luggage and assist with loading and unloading automobile luggage
- Call taxi for guests upon request
- Prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork, supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries
- Maintain check-in station appearance and operational effectiveness
- Assist other departments with transportation of boxes and supplies
- Promote a positive work environment and follow employee handbook guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, and bell areas
- Safely operate guest vehicles and adhere to traffic laws
- Create weekly staffing schedules for the valet department
- Provide initial and ongoing training for valet associates
- Perform bi-weekly payroll processing and approve associate timecards
- Carry out other duties assigned by management
