Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signals and traffic signal systems
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating equipment including backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, digger derricks, and bucket trucks
- Valid driver's license (CDL A preferred)
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 75%)
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and compliance standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signals and traffic signal systems
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, digger derricks, and bucket trucks
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 or Level 2 preferred
- Kentucky Electrical License preferred (EE or ME)
- Valid driver's license (CDL A preferred)
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 75%)
- High standard of integrity and professionalism
Job Duties
- Install and maintain traffic signal systems including conduit, wiring, poles, signal heads, controllers, cabinets, switches, vehicle detectors, and hardware in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards
- Remove, adjust, repair, or replace traffic signal heads, signal controllers, pedestrian head assemblies, cabinets, and roadway lighting as required
- Install, maintain, and repair vehicle identification and detection systems
- Install and maintain traffic signal loops including preparing and operating road cutting equipment, installing traffic loop systems, and post-installation roadway cleanup
- Operate backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, pole trucks, and bucket trucks safely and appropriately to install and maintain traffic signals
- Operate vehicles and equipment on public roadways with proper awareness of surroundings and work environment
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Perform all work safely in compliance with federal, state, local, project, and company safety requirements
