Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months hospital or hotel housekeeping experience preferred for housekeeper
  • 6 months related experience required for lead floor tech
  • 1-2 years floor care experience and 1 year lead experience preferred for lead floor tech
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and set priorities
  • flexibility in assignments
  • ability to work around housekeeping chemicals
  • willingness to respond to emergency situations appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience preferred for housekeeper role
  • 6 months of related experience required for lead floor tech role
  • 1-2 years floor care and 1 year lead experience preferred for lead floor tech role
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • capability to work independently and set priorities
  • flexibility in assignments
  • knowledge of safety and emergency preparedness codes

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned area(s) according to procedure to meet infection control and safety guidelines
  • replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas
  • keep all equipment clean and report broken equipment
  • empty, clean and reline trash containers
  • properly dispose of waste including biohazardous materials
  • sanitize and spot clean floors and carpets
  • clean restrooms and restock dispensers
  • perform additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer
  • specialized cleaning for patient isolations and terminal cleaning of specialized hospital rooms
  • assist supervisor with training new hires and staff training
  • perform patient interviews and follow-up on complaints
  • respond to emergency situations appropriately
  • adhere to patient safety goals
  • perform other related duties as assigned
